“I have been designing spaces as far back as I can remember. One summer when I was twelve years old, I asked my parents can I decorate my room. Once they gave me the ok, I took my saved allowance, bought a can of yellow paint, a paint roller, some curtains, and a comforter. When I got back home, I turned on the radio, ripped off all the floral vine wallpaper, and commence transforming my space! Who does that at twelve? Most girls my age were out riding their bikes or playing jump rope. I had no idea back then that I was a designer at heart.

I ignored the signs, continued with school, graduated, and started working as an administrator for Fortune 500 companies in Manhattan. After I got married, the designer in me began to resurface. I did such a fabulous job decorating my new home, family, and friends starting asking me to help them decorate their homes. Soon after, the guests that entered into my family and friends' homes started asking them,” who is your decorator?”At this point, I’m now designing other people’s homes. I said to myself, I think this is what I was born to do. So when I got laid off in 2009, I saw this disappointment as a blessing in disguise. That was the perfect opportunity to go back to school for interior design and construction management. I continued to work as a design consultant while completing my studies. Shortly after graduating, I was filled with so much vigor and passion, I started my own business and I have never looked back ever since! I’ve always been thankful for that window of opportunity and listening to that soft inner voice.”
